Victoria Barracks is the best known example of military architecture in Australia.

This heritage building constructed between 1841 and 1849 is undergoing a complete refurbishment to restore it to its former glory.

Works include the refurbishment of the original sandstone walls, ornate staircases, columns and balustrades, the restoration of over 500 sash windows and doors and repainting works.
